WAAAGH! Drillteef on Parade - 23,000 points

With the coming of the new codex, WAAAGH! Drillteef's points level dropped dramatically and I've been playing catch-up ever since. Also, I have decided to separate WAAAGH! Tuska from the points total; I really feel like that's a totally different army and it's disingenuous to include it.

So, as such, we have 7000 points to crawl back to 30k. This is fine.

Many other collectors are happy to include titans and such at this point and I think it's high time I did so. This army does not yet have a Battle Fortress or a Gargant. I think I should do both very soon. The Battle Fortress has rules, but there is, as yet, no Gargant. I will likely just use an Imperial counterpart to build something similar and just give it the Ork keyword and drop its BS to 5+. I aso want to do a proper Stompa Mob, so I'll need a few of those.

How Did it Come to This? 10,000 Points of Painted Orks

One can only make so many milestone posts before people eventually get soul-crushingly bored of them.  However, I'm going to make an exception here because with my Vengeance Batteries, I've reached a total of 10,000 points painted with my Orks.  These points include reasonable upgrades, but not ridiculous add-ons like Kill Kannons for the Battlewagons.  Let's not be silly . Joke Armies - an Editorial

Ponies and Smurfs and Gundams! Oh my! Sometimes someone posts a joke army they've built and painted on the internet and the internet lashes out against it, sometimes quite vociferously. I have a problem with the strong objections to these armies, with caveats. Please note that, throughout this article, I will refer to armies which break the 4th wall and are incongruous to the 40k fluff as "joke armies".  Of course, I do realize many hobbyists who choose to build their armies in this way do not mean them as a joke and take it very seriously, but I need some kind of general term for the article. More Arm-Chair Game Design - The D

I was over on the Frontline Gaming forums chatting about D-Weapons in 40k when I had a little bit of an amateur game design thought about how to streamline the rules for D-Weapons in 40k.  It's clear that the primary issue is the alpha strike component of the rules which really make even fluffy games of 40k a bit of a snooze fest with entire swaths of models meeting their maker far too early in the game. Having said that, though, there are a lot of fun units which are allowed in Escalation which could be great fun.  Many of the Baneblades are really cool and, of course, my green heart adores Stompas of all variety.
