The Merry-Go-Round Got Looted

Here's a bunch of Lootaz that I painted for a buddy's clown-themed Ork army.  I'm pretty happy with them.  The mold lines were pretty terrible on this cast, actually and I did my best, but I think that they turned out okay.   I wasn't sure I could reproduce his bases, so I didn't. Again, please CLICK the images for larger versions. This guy with the acid-spitting flower pin is probably better used as a Burna, but who knows what kind of Acid-Shooting Flower Technology (ASFT) the Orks have at their disposal?   I'm riffing on the fake "BANG!" gun gag here. I hope people get it. Who really knows how Ork Technology works?  To me, it makes perfect sense that an Ork with a Sousaphone is capable of seriously deadly, long-range firepower.  Since I'm an Ork player, then that makes it a real thing.  If you're confused about that, just refer to the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy on the topic of how to fly .

El Queso Grande Complete

The Stompa build is complete.  I've got nothing really to add to what I've already said except that I kind of half-assed the OSL and treated this thing kind of like a piece of terrain overall.  It's a big monster and I am only willing to put so much time into it. Having said that, I'm quite proud of it overall and look forward to games featuring it in the future.  Now I just need to get some custom foam made for him as he is still a lot more fragile than a regular model and he'll also be quite susceptible to dust cling.  I'll probably put him in a plastic grocery bag to keep the dust off. I won the model at Adepticon 2013 during Boota Town, so a big thanks to MightyTim and the Freebootaz.

Leviathan Crusader Stompa Build

So, at Adepticon this year, I attended Boota Town and was lucky enough to win a Leviathan Crusader.    Immediately, of course, I informed my compatriots that this Leviathan Crusader had no idea about what was about to happen to it! I decided I wanted to actually build the model properly first so that all the articulation would work and possibly actually make it seem as if it had been properly looted.  So, here's a shot of it right after the initial build (note that not all of the plates were added): By the looks of the thing, I think that, story-wise, this is a Grey Knights mini-titan of some kind which the Orks of WAAGH! Drillteef has captured and looted. My initial additions were a bit weak.  The model is so huge that it's tough to get a grip on where to start. So, I hemmed and hawed over the arms a bit and tightened them up a little. While they needed some straightening out, I thought it was best that I move on to the body and do some re-balancing

9000 Points

It seems that 9000 points has snuck up on me.  I'm super proud of this milestone.  Only one Stompa and a couple of HQs from 10,000 points.  At that point, I hope to do a full unit breakdown.  I have some commissions to take care of first. I forgot to add the bastion to this picture, but that's fine.  The table was freaking FULL! WAAGH! Drillteef - 9251 Points 1 Mad Doc Drillteef, D.D.S. , 160 pts (Warlord) Big Meks: 1 Big Mek Scar 'Ead , 140 pts ('Eavy Armour; Attack Squig; Bosspole; Kustom Force Field; Power Klaw; Cybork Body) 1 Big Chef Grubzog , 45 pts (Bosspole; Grot Oiler x1) 1 Big Mek Bolt Toof , 50 pts ('Eavy Armour; Bosspole; Cybork Body) Warbosses: 1 Warboss Wagonkrumpa , 115 pts ('Eavy Armour; Attack Squig; Bosspole; Cybork Body; Power Klaw) 1 Big Boss Grimblitz , 110 pts (Bosspole; Cybork Body) 1 Boss Thudguts , 80 pts ('Eavy Armour; Bosspole; Cybork Body; Big Choppa) 1 Warboss Gitsmasha , 85 pts ('Eavy Armour; Attack Squig; Bosspole)
